On a gloomy day in October, Matt and Amanda tied the knot. While the skies were dark, the day was bright. Matt and Amanda gathered their nearest and dearest for a good old fashion wedding during Covid times. The joy for this couple could not be contained as relatives of every age, including both of Matt’s Grandmas, broke their social isolation to celebrate with this couple.
A special moment that I will never truly know the impact of was Amanda’s brother walking her down the aisle. Both of Amanda’s parents passed away in 2019, making it an incredibly emotional day to experience without her guideposts present. Even though you couldn’t help but notice their absence, the love that filled the room could only be attributed to the rock solid family that Matt and Amanda have built. The bridal party was the most tight group of girlfriends one has ever seen. These ladies know how to support each other and party together. Girl Power!
Just as we stepped outside to take photos, the clouds parted and revealed the most glorious sunkissed fall skies one could ask for. The warm embraces, intricate lace details of Amanda’s dress, perfectly crisp fallen leaves, and the biggest grin on Matt’s face filled my memory card and my mind for days. The simple love between these two just brightens my day and is one of the reasons why I do what I do. I love love!
The evening concluded with a messy and hilarious cake cutting with cake crumbs falling down Amanda’s dress and hours of dancing after the mandatory garter toss. Congrats to Matt and Amanda! Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your special day.
