A pandemic love story. I love nothing more than two people finding each other during challenging times. Liz and Aaron met virtually in March of 2020, right as the world was falling apart. They were casually set up by Liz’s minister after she proclaimed she wanted to start dating someone. After many emails, phone calls and FaceTimes, they took the leap to meet in person in June of 2020. One hiking date at Blue Mounds State Park sent these two into a committed long distance relationship with Aaron traveling from Michigan to Wisconsin every other weekend. A year into their love story, it was obvious to everyone that they were going to spend the rest of their lives together.
Now into their big day. Liz and Aaron were surrounded by friends and family at River City Church for a simple ceremony full of faith and love. They danced their way out of the church and through downtown Dubuque making some iconic images if I do say so myself.
But don’t be mistaken that this was a classic church wedding, these two know how to be fun and funky. They held their reception at Dimensional Brewing Company where their guests enjoyed local craft beer all afternoon. They kept up with their non-traditional style and had mouthwatering BBQ from Flatted Fifth. My two cents, you have to be truly awesome people to have beer and BBQ for your wedding reception. Check mark on the cool factor next to Liz and Aaron. Congratulations Liz and Aaron!
