Let’s cut to it!
Does gift giving stress you out? Does the expectation of giving or receiving a gift make your head spin? And to top it all off we are in a pandemic so anything from Amazon Prime is taking an extra seven days to deliver. Well, I’m glad you’re here because I understand what you’re feeling. If you don’t know me I’m a 2 on the enneagram and my love language is gift giving. I have always loved this about myself or have at least been good at it. But I’m here to give you some relief and guidance on gift giving this holiday season.
These are my top five gift giving tips!
-
First and foremost, figure out who you’re buying for and ASK them, legit ask, “What would you like for this holiday season?” I always start here! If they say nothing then you’re screwed, ha just kidding. But seriously, nine times out of ten, people always want something.
-
Then ask yourself, does this item have a purpose? Where or how could they use it? Could they actually use it in their everyday life?
-
Still lacking ideas? When in doubt, do a gift card to a coffee shop, local restaurant or gas station. We all gotta eat and pump gas! Can I get an amen?
-
Make it pretty! Presentation makes gift giving even more special. Break out the curly ribbons and glittery wrapping paper and embrace your inner craft queen.
-
Gift receipt. ALWAY GIVE A GIFT RECEIPT. Don’t be that person that says “I forgot.”
Still not sure what to do? You’re in luck because I added a little of my fav’s below. Check it out!
